Senior Paralegal/ Paralegal Supervisor
Aree was born and raised in the Philippines. She comes from a family of artists and lawyers. At one point she has considered taking up law, with the encouragement of her late-grandfather who was an attorney but, decided to pursue her first love – food. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Management, and a Diploma in Culinary Arts from O.B. Montessori College, in Greenhills, Philippines; and graduated with honors. Currently, she is acquiring her Certificate in Advanced Paralegal Studies with Specialization in Immigration Law from the Blackstone Career Institute in Pennsylvania.
Competitive and creative by nature, she has worked as a chef in various 5-star restaurants and hotels in the Philippines then, decided to specialize in Pastry Arts and Cake Artistry for more than 8 years.
As fate would allow it, her journey brought her to America, and she ended up working as a paralegal in MC LAW GROUP, LLC. Aree has an undying passion for helping people. She first joined the firm in 2022 as a paralegal in the Submissions Department, before being promoted to Paralegal Supervisor. She works on Asylum cases (I-589), Cancellation of Removal (E-42B), FOIAs, I-130s, among other things. She also works on Motions for Immigration Court cases, including having cases reopened. Aree has a constant thirst for knowledge; and loves sharing that knowledge with her peers.
Aree is also a licensed Marriage Officiant.
She enjoys sharing her baked goods with her coworkers. Aree loves art, music, food, and her family. She is fluent in English and Tagalog; has a working knowledge of the Spanish language, and basic German.
